We'll Miss Our "Wild Neighbors"

When we do eventually sell our house and leave Colorado, we will very much miss our "neighbors" that come calling every now and again. In the four years that we have lived in our home, we have been greeted by mountain lions, black bears, mule deer, red and black fox, and our most consistent visitors, elk. For those of you that don't know, elk are a magnificant creature to behold. Bull elk are as big, and sometimes bigger, than your average horse. Full grown bulls have amazing racks that look almost to large to carry on there helpless heads.

There is a group of adolescent bulls that graze around our house every evening in the spring. They are not shy, and have sometimes even startled us by walking right past our windows. They stopped by again today to grab a bite. I thought I'd snap a couple of shots for a memory:
