According to a new study, the Midwest is a great place to live (as if we didn't already know that). Actually, it's a great place to live long. The second highest average age of lifespan is found in the great state of Minnesota. Wow, who would've thunk it? The good news for us Midwesterners (or in our case, displaced Midwesterners) is that it doesn't just stop with the land of 10,000 lakes. Wisconsin could be found at number 14, while Iowa and N. Dakota fell at 7 and 8 respectfully.
Even more shocking (to some) was the low average lifespan of a state like Florida (21st). Half this country retreats to the citrus state only to have their retirement cut shorter than those who stayed up nort der. Yes, Hawaii was number 1, while Cali fell in at number 10, but these rankings once again prove that there is something BETTER about the Midwest.
Yes, Colorado is great (the Rocky Mtns, sunshine 4 out of 7 days of the week, and a 12th place rank in longevity), but we've come to realize that their is more to our homeland than snowy/grey winters. Sunshine isn't everything!
